Research Belton Hospital is pleased to announce their new breast oncologist Dr. Stephanie Graff, Miss Missouri 2011 Sydney Friar and Tina York Mrs. Missouri America 2012 are the hospital’s featured speakers for their October 10th “Pretty in Pink – Ladies Night Out Event.” The event is being held in recognition of October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This year’s event is being held at the Belton High School Freshman Center, located at 801 W. North Ave., Belton, MO. The doors open at 5:30 pm for the evening event at which time ladies will be able to enjoy hors d’ oeuvres and refreshments while they visit over 26 vendor booths and enjoy photos and conversation with Miss Missouri 2011.

At 7 pm the program will start with Ms. Sydney Friar sharing her experience as the newly crowned Miss Missouri and her platform on reconnecting the family unit followed by Mrs. Tina York, Mrs. Missouri America whose platform is breast cancer awareness which she demonstrates with her involvement in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Dr. Stephanie Graff, our guest speaker will conclude the event with her presentation on “Understanding and Reducing Your Breast Cancer Risk.” Dr. Graff offers expertise in treating breast cancer in addition she has a strong blend of clinical excellence and compassionate care. She specializes in breast cancer treatment options and was fellowship-trained in hematology/medical oncology and breast oncology. She has a strong background in cancer research, and has been recognized for outstanding clinical performance and compassionate patient care. Dr. Graff recently joined the staff of Midwest Cancer Care at Research Belton Hospital.

Women in our surrounding communities are encouraged to grab a girl friend, put on your PINK and help us “Fight like a Girl” as we together fight breast cancer. Everyone wearing PINK to the event will be given special gifts. There will also be door prizes and give-aways throughout the evening.
