WHY: Belton Regional Medical Center—part of HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City’s leading healthcare provider—hosts its 11th Annual Family Friendly Community Block Party and Health Fair with a focus on family health and well-being.
Free activities for children include Touch A Truck-Belton, EMS ambulance, Touch A Truck-South, Metro fire truck, Bounce House, face painting, cookie decorating, children’s games, Half-Pint Heroes Miniature Horses, a tooth brush giveaway and more. There will also be free popcorn, hospital tours and more than 30 booths providing healthcare exhibits and screenings.
Cass Community Health Foundation’s 24th Annual 5k for Health will kick off at 7:30 with registration. All proceeds will benefit the Cass County Dental Clinic, which provides urgent and preventative dental care to low-income children and adolescents.
