Todd Krass, CEO of Belton Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Midwest Health — Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider and private sector employer has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Taylor, as Vice President of Operations. Taylor assumed his responsibilities at the 71 bed acute-care hospital on October 1st.
Most recently Taylor served as Administrator at HCA Midwest Health’s Mid-America Surgery Institute located on Menorah Medical Center’s campus in Overland Park, KS. Jeff served as Administrator at the surgery center from January 2011 until his transfer to Belton Regional Medical Center on October 1, 2014. During his tenure at the surgery center Taylor was instrumental in the surgery center achieving 94.5% overall patient satisfaction scores, 39% growth, and employee engagement scores well above the national average. In addition, he started the GI service line recruiting seven gastroenterologists to the surgery staff.
From September 2006 until January 2011, Taylor was Administrator at Ozarks Community Hospital in Springfield, Mo. As Administrator at the hospital, he was responsible for the outpatient and physician clinics along with the urgent care facility.
Taylor earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors from Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) in Joplin, MO, and his Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Missouri, in Columbia, MO.
As Vice President of Operations, Jeff will have direct responsibility for the pharmacy, medical imaging, laboratory, environmental services, food services, plant operations and rehabilitation services which includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and athletic trainers (ATC’s).

Jeff, who grew up in Joplin, MO now lives in Kansas City, MO with his wife Lauren and their 18 month old son, Benton. Upon graduating from college, Jeff played minor league baseball for the Washington National’s. Jeff is an avid sports fan and enjoys cheering for the Kansas City Royals, Chiefs and Missouri Tigers.
