The TIA Clinic at Belton Regional Medical Center is the leader in stroke and transient ischemic attack care. TIAs, or “mini strokes,” strongly predict a future stroke that can be severe and disabling. The TIA clinic works in an outpatient setting — the only one in the area offered five days per week.
Rehabilitation after stroke may include the following activities, as prescribed by your doctor:
- Physical therapy—to regain as much movement as possible
- Occupational therapy—to assist in everyday tasks and self-care
- Speech pathology—to improve swallowing and speech challenges
